Audrey's Butterscotch Refrigerator Cookies
Cream together and beat until light:
1 c. butter
1/2 c. granulated sugar
1/2 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
Add:
2 & 3/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 c. finely chopped nuts (mom used walnuts)
Chill for about 2 hours.
Shape into two loaves 2" square.
Wrap in waxed paper or plastic wrap and chill overnight.
Slice 1/8" thick.
Bake on cookie sheets in a 400 degree over for 6 -8 min.
Remove to wire racks or brown paper to cool.
Makes about 6 dozen cookies.
