Phyllis’s coffee cake (7/4/8)
Phyllis' July Fourth
Coffee Cake
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 c. sour cream (I used fat
free)
1 tsp. vanilla
Cream butter & sugar, add
eggs, beat,
then add dry ingredients alternately
with
sour cream and vanilla.
Pur 1/2 of batter in pan and
sprinkle with
1/2 of topping. Add rest
of batter, then
rest of topping. Bake 35
mins. at 350 degrees
When cool, drizzle with glaze
of powdered sugar
and hot water.
Topping:
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 c. chopped pecans
